The Planning District Development Plan is the basis for the Municipal Secondary Plans and Zoning By-Laws. This section explains the authority by which our Planning District is given the authority to implement a Development Plan; the purpose of the Development Plan; and By-Law 190-08.
Secondary Plans are prepared to define policy programs and initiatives for Development Plan implementation. Several Secondary Plans for the Planning District's Municipalities are currently under various stages of progress.
